It teaches your child to be dependent. The frenzy of guardians teaches children that they cannot do it on their own, so they become dependent on external sources of help. This prevents them from developing critical thinking and study skills. However, the opposite can even be harmful.
It can cause the child to dislike the subject or even rebel against it. Therefore, it is essential to address the problem if you notice that your child is showing aversion or resentment towards the guardian. This is a mentoring secret that most tutors don't even know about, and those who do know it certainly don't want you to know it. From looking at thousands of students, researching the science of learning, and my own experiences, there are a few things that make tutoring effective.
Research suggests that students who receive tutoring for good results in the short term tend to have less success in the medium and long term. Trained tutors can assess each child's learning needs and set the pace needed to achieve desired outcomes. However, if the tutor removes all this difficulty, this skill does not have a training ground to develop. Mentoring fixes this by not teaching your brain how to find out, but by telling your brain to stay out while they figure it out for you.
A guardian's personality and the child's ability to get along with him or her can improve the results of private tutoring. Well, mentoring (and the subsequent short-term increase in scores) meant that my mentality toward learning was completely biased. Students who find it easy at first because a teacher or tutor makes them more comfortable struggle to succeed when the material inevitably becomes more advanced. Students who excel in high school and receive top grades with the help of tutoring often struggle noticeably more than their previously less excellent peers.
Fortunately, I had a grandfather who chose to pay tuition for me before I entered high school, at a major tutoring firm in New Zealand. To prevent negative cases from occurring, it may be beneficial to seek private tutoring through an agency that investigates its professionals or request a criminal record report from the guardian. We have tried to balance the number of benefits and disadvantages of private tutoring for a more objective review. It makes the student dependent on long-term tutoring and doesn't help them when tutoring stops or when they go to college.
